Kerry Campbell was a member of the First Generation of Wayward Pines. She is the mother of Jason Higgins.
History
We see her in the first episode of the second season, "Enemy Lines", introducing a newly-awakened Theo Yedlin to the town. She has become very close to new town leader, Jason Higgins, with whom she is in a relationship.
She was born and raised in Scotch Flatts, Idaho. Her mother remarried and she was abused by her new stepfather and stepbrother. When she was seven, she meet a boy and later in life he got her pregnant. Without him in the picture, she gave birth to her son at Boise General Hospital. There, he was soon adopted by David Pilcher. She wanted to meet him and they discussed her life and how you can never run away from the past. That is when David decided she would be kidnapped and put into a cryostasis chamber and live out her life in Wayward Pines in the future.
In the aftermath of the Abby attack, her son, Jason, was looking for a future wife, and picked her, unaware of their relationship. He woke her up and unhappy at first, she then started trusting Jason.
After she kills Jason, becomes she learns from Theo that Jason was trying to kill her because she is unable to reproduce, she soon finds out from Theo that Jason was in fact her son. Hearing this news, she is disgusted and takes on Theo's plan to inject herself with multiple virus and not be apart of Group One. She then walks outside the fence after injecting herself with morphine and the viruses and is devoured by abbies.
